BUFFALO CITY is located on a slough of the Mississippi River.  Boasting beautiful views across the river, Spring Lake and Whitman Bottoms.  Great for fishing, boating, kayaking and birding.  Whitman Dam offers an easy walk with pristine views of the Mississippi River.  The local grocery imports Kringle from Racine!

Located just off Highway 35 (Wisconsin Great River Road) toward the river. This is a popular area for birding and fishing in backwaters. It is located on the banks of the backwaters of the Mississippi River. It has an abundance of migrating birds, best fishing ever along with miles of scenic quiet streets for biking or hiking. Foelsch River Side Park has a 1 mile nature trail and open free to the public. Come off river at mile marker 747.9 to several docks. There are numerous boat ramps along the River Road.

Buffalo City is off the Wisconsin Great River Hwy. 35 on 0 or 00, about fifty miles North of La Crosse, WI. Population: 1,023.
